Openings explores the world of those architectural elements that “incarnate” the idea of “threshold”, “openness”, the relationship between inside and outside. The voices of Italian and international architects will help us do so, with contributions from the languages of music, sport, art, and the territory. Tackling the idea of “threshold“ in immaterial, almost “spiritual” terms, the film investigates the close relationships of art and life, necessity and creative effort, philosophy and civil thought. A journey along the Via Emilia, a geographical threshold par excellence, with stops, crossings, wanderings. Our guides will be Davide Cassani, Guido Guidi, Andrea Stella and Rossella Miccio, as well as Raoul Casadei, the histrionic musician who has made Romagna a real “state of mind”.
