A fascinating journey into the silence of the cloisters, where the words of Boccaccio’s Treatise in Praise of Dante will narrate the Supreme Poet’s last years, from the exile to his death in Ravenna. Music excerpts from the London manuscript, containing the scores of instrumental music dating back to Dante’s and Boccaccio’s time, will be performed on meticulously replicated medieval instruments, to lead the audience into a distant, long-forgotten sound space.
