MicroDanze is a project created by Gigi Cristoforetti with the aim of exploring various ways of enjoying a dance performance while renewing the connection between live performance and historical-archaeological heritage. Italian and international choreographers have created a series of short performances (6 to 8 minutes long and designed for small spaces) intended to be enjoyed consecutively, much like a visit to a museum. The project breaks down the traditional dynamics of the stage, bridging the gap between spectator and performer to create a seamless continuum and offering a unique and emotional aesthetic experience. MicroDanze has been performed in historic palaces and international museums, including Castel Sant’Angelo in Rome and the Acropolis Museum in Athens.
