The bonus the MIBACT has reserved to all the 1998 born is worth double with Ravenna Festival: whoever buys a ticket for one of the shows in the programme receives a second ticket for a friend (up to 26 years). Besides, an information point will be active at the Ticket Office of the Alighieri Theatre in order to help the young users discover 18app and the connected offers (until the 3rd of October, from Monday to Saturday, 3-6 pm).

575.000 young people will turn eighteen in 2016 in Italy – 1287 in Ravenna – and they will access the 500-euro bonus to invest in cultural goods or activities (shows, books, museum tickets…), from their birthday to the end of 2017: this project is promoted by the Government and the Ministry of Cultural Heritage and Activities and Tourism, and it is targeted at encouraging the cultural choices of the new generation through a web application featuring an appealing look – 18app.it.

Ravenna Festival is on the front line to offer the young users of 18app another reason to register and start investing in culture. And, as a welcome gift for all eighteen year olds, the Festival offers two tickets for Mimì è una civetta (October 3, Alighieri Theatre), an original production of the 2015 edition on the verge of leaving on a tour through the foremost theatres in Emilia Romagna; a pop version of the eternal love story between young penniless artists: the most famous Bohème arias will be presented in the modern rock, pop, and jazz rhythms.

The project connected to 18app, in collaboration with the Comune di Ravenna, sees other three cultural protagonists of the city (MAR – Museo della città di Ravenna, RavennAntica e Ravenna Teatro) get in the game and offer the eighteen year olds some special – and always highly cultural – opportunities.

Culture, in other words, pays back. Especially in Ravenna.
