The soirees of Cavalleria rusticana and Pagliacci will open with an original, unexpected narration, born from the surprising encounter between young people, aged 8 to 18, and two century-old Italian operas still able to captivate the heart and imagination of generations of spectators. In the short performances preceding the opera, Mascagni’s and Leoncavallo’s masterpieces will be brought to new life by the talent and the interpretation of young people who experience the operatic world for the first time, with a curiosity about to turn into passion. To this end, they have been given a nineteenth-century theatre, where cutting-edge technologies contribute to keeping the magic of opera alive, and the freedom of putting their creative energies to test.
