Performance of young artists of the “Call to the Arts” 2024
Following on from last year’s “Call to the Arts”, some of the young artists we welcomed have been commissioned to create a new collective project inspired by the words of St Augustine. The project has been taking shape over the last few months in a corner of the city: a large mural that will give new life to a simple brick wall, leaving its mark not only as a work of art, but also as a symbol of a city that supports the new generations and their language. The choice of materials will also insist on the same idea, as the entire mural will be covered with a layer of ‘photocatalytic’ paint that acts as an anti-smog film, using sunlight to break down pollutants. The wall will breathe, just as trees do. The mural will be inaugurated with a real celebration of the arts: poetry, music, songs and dances by the young people of the “Call”, ready to pick up where they left off last year.
