We still have vivid memories of his voice ringing out on the final Canto of the Divine Comedy, recited in a height of emotion last year, at the opening celebration of Italy’s “Year of Dante”. Elio Germano will be back this year, to ideally close this seventh centenary with the very same Canto 33. But this time it won’t be just naked verses, since Dante’s eternal words are the heart of a project that has inspired original and unpredictable music by prominent avant-garde composer Teho Teardo, impervious to labels but greatly appreciated for his film and theatre soundtracks. To complete the picture is the visionary and poetic eye of Simone Ferrari, the prominent Show Director and designer of Olympic ceremonies, talent competitions like X FactorItaly, and magic shows by Cirque du Soleil.
