Giubileo 2025: la speranza nelle sfide del presente
Percorsi di misericordia nella vita e nei Promessi Sposi di Alessandro Manzoni

talk with Mons. Massimo Camisasca
Bishop emeritus of Reggio Emilia – Guastalla

The Jubilee is celebrated every twenty-five years as a means of renewal and transformation through the reconciliation and forgiveness made possible by the coming of Christ into the world. But what meaning can the Jubilee have today, in the midst of the devastation caused by recurring conflicts, acts of violence and abuse, the loss of old certainties, a sense of helplessness and fear for our survival and the survival of the planet? We have asked this question to three prominent figures in the Catholic Church, who will contribute from different perspectives: beauty, based on Dostoyevsky’s famous quote; a focus on truth and essence; and mercy, based on a reinterpretation of Manzoni’s The Betrothed.
