A reunion 26 years after Rospo
Hard work, inventiveness, flexible roots and memorable names. Mercato Saraceno and Quintorigo have much in common. And in this hilltop village, whose history is unique in Romagna, they will be joined on stage by John De Leo, their original singer and one of the greatest voices on the Italian and international music scene. On the occasion of the 25th anniversary of Rospo (“Toad” was the unusual title of the album and song they sang at the Sanremo Festival shocking the television audience at the time), this experimental quintet will revive the magic of a musical vision that combined rock and chamber music, progressive music and avant-garde jazz, and that still stands out as an oasis of creative freedom in a musical panorama that definitely needs such talented and free-thinking artists.
