La Magnifica Comunità, one of the most renowned and beloved early music ensembles, have shown a true vocation for the re-proposal of the most genuine meaning of ancient sounds ever since their adventure began, in 1990, over 25 years ago. A vocation that is substantiated in their use of period instruments and in their philological attention to the scores, always combined with freshness in interpretation. With “Sacre Corde”, they stage the tribute that such composers as Pergolesi, Vivaldi and Porpora paid to some major mystics, exalted by the voice of mezzo-soprano Romina Basso and by the intimate virtuosity of Enrico Casazza’s violin, fresh from recent award-winning performances like the prestigious Choc du Monde de la Musique.
