Saskatoon Children’s Choir
Many Hearts: One Voice
artistic director Phoebe Voigts
Back in 1966, in the heart of Canada, Phoebe Voigts founded the Saskatoon Children’s and youth choir on the conviction that inclusion and understanding across cultures and borders can be achieved through art. Choosing from an international repertoire ranging from Tómas Louis de Victoria to contemporary Canadian composers, the choir is committed to humanitarian projects like anti-mine campaigns, the fight against AIDS or supporting Syrian refugees. A most rigorous musical education is matched by a propensity to travel, which results in the Choir’s tours abroad: animated by its passion for choral singing, the choir fills the world’s theatres and concert halls with the children’s voices and the strength of their humanitarian message.
